Adventure Race Team Building Events

The Team Adrenaline Rush provides the ultimate test of teamwork for participants with an experience of intensely active adventure!  A series of activities are put together in a back-to-back format as teams are required to move from one challenge to another under the pressure of time.  This race-like format can include:  bikes; kayaks or canoes; foot navigation; public transportation; swimming or float tubes; climbing walls; and customized adventure activities. Teams of 5-7 are put together in a competitive race format.  The overall objective is not speed – but rather strategy and effective execution.  Which team(s) will be able to earn the most revenue points in each race segment?  It takes efficient teamwork, dynamic leadershifting, and focused communication all while performing under the time clock.  It’s not the fastest team that wins – rather the smartest team!  Is your team up for the Team Adrenaline Rush Challenge?

The race clock ticks down to the start time and the race begins!  Teams arrive at the first adrenaline challenge and must quickly strategize and put their plan into action in the most efficient way possible.  How many teams will jump right into the task?  How many teams will look at the bigger picture and then proceed?  Who is the real team anyway?

The race clock keeps ticking as teams navigate from one activity to another.  Each team moves forward confidently knowing that hard earned revenues can be lost if the team shows up late to the next challenge!  Tension builds as team passports are stamped, revenues are collected and teams race to the finish. 

The clock stops as teams’ cross the finish line.  Team passports are collected and revenue totals are tallied.  The teams review their race performance with laughter and disbelief.   They are sure their team has earned the most revenue!  The judges have the final revenue totals.  Teams gather together anxiously waiting to hear the results.  And the winners are?

THINK     TEAM Foundation:  To combine the elements of team development and active adventure, we begin the program with active dialogue to align the real-time objectives of your group with the Team Adrenaline Rush.  We customize this delivery based on our discussion with ‘team leaders’ to ensure that the appropriate learning is able to be tied into the overall program.  Our commitment is to align the experience into the day-to-day work environment providing key takeaways to team members that can be implemented immediately.

ENGAGE    TEAM Briefing: During the briefing, materials and team supplies will be distributed and questions will be answered.  The rules of engagement, overall objectives, and logistics of the event will be revealed.  A short strategy session is provided for teams to get their plans into action.

ACTIVATE     TEAM Adrenaline Rush:  This is where the action takes place!  Teams will quickly navigate from one active adventure to the next while under the pressure of time. Teams will be required to strategize, engage in effective communication and team collaboration, innovate, execute a plan and measure the results.  The pace is fast, furious, and fun!

MANAGE    TEAM Management: This is where the adventure meets day-to-day challenges. Once the teams have successfully completed each adventure activity, they will return to the finish area.  Revenues will be tallied as the team discusses what they learned during the days challenge.  This is where we identify the key elements of team performance improvement and what team members can specifically do to drive results and challenge the team to the next level of performance.  And then of course – the results!  Which team(s) has earned the most revenues?
