American College of Cardiology Builds Bikes for a Good Cause
The entire staff of the American College of Cardiology in Washington D.C. gathered in mid-August for the Charity Bike Team Challenge! Twenty teams accepted the challenge to participate in a series of team activities, which would ultimately earn them the different parts of their bikes for assembly. All the teams successfully completed their challenges and the program resulted in 20 beautifully decorated bicycles to be donated to the children of Community Lodgings.
Throughout the program, key learnings became evident and the participants embraced the importance of collaboration and communication. Many of the core competencies that the ACC is focused on were intertwined into the activities the teams needed to complete. All in all, it was a great day of learning, philanthropy and FUN! And at the end of the day, when the kids made their surprise entrance, there were even some tears of joy, which really exemplified the impact of the program!
